Walter Strickland & Keelan Cook

Really enjoyed meeting with Dr. Walter Strickland, director of the Kingdom Diversity initiative at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, today about potential future partnerships on immigration work/education and mobilization of churches and pastors for ministry among immigrant populations. Walter R. Strickland II has been a friend for about a year now and I appreciate his spirit and vision for what God is doing in our world. Walter is helping churches all over ‪#‎tellabetterstory‬ - a gospel story of the reconciling power of Christ. It is truly amazing to see the way that the Body of Christ is adapting and growing to interact with and reach the Nations before us!

I also met with Keelan Cook this morning who originated the People's Next Door strategy with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and North Carolina Baptists. This approach helps churches, associations, and state conventions of churches identify and engage with immigrant people groups who have moved to their area from around the world. I hope to help bring this strategy to Alabama. Keelan is helping Christians all over ‪#‎tellabetterstory‬ when it comes to how they see and engage immigrants in our midst with the gospel!
